Audio Clips

An audio clip has been selected from each recording, lasting approximately 2 minutes.  They have been chosen to give a flavour of the rich variety of voices in the archive. They must be downloaded in order to listen to them. This page provides instructions about how to do this. The clips can be accessed in three different ways:

Downloading An Audio-Clip

The audio clips are provided in mp3 format, which are small in size and will download quickly.  This is a widely used format and most modern media players will accept it.  It is not necessary to download any new software to access these recordings.
